Merge PDF Guide

How to combine PDF files in the right order and check the finished document.

Merging PDFs is useful when several related documents need to become one file: application documents, invoices, reports, scanned records or a multi-part submission. The most important preparation step is deciding the final page order before you merge.

Prepare the files

Rename files clearly or place them in the order you want. Open the important source PDFs first and check that they contain the pages you expect. If a file has unnecessary blank pages, remove them before merging or extract only the pages you need.

Check page orientation

Documents from different sources can contain portrait and landscape pages. A merged file can contain both, but inconsistent orientation may make reading harder. Review the finished PDF before sending it.

Privacy and browser processing

The UniConvertHub merge tool is designed for browser-side processing where supported. Your browser and device still determine how large a PDF can be processed comfortably. For confidential documents, understand the processing model of any service you use and follow your organization's security rules.

After merging

Use the tool

Open Merge PDF, choose the source files, arrange them as required and create the combined document.
